I Resign – Award winning film about RACISM

Thus begins director Jay Mohan’s award-winning short film titled “I Resign” which highlights the institutional racism faced by an Indian worker at an IT company in the United States. The entire short film is narrated by the protagonist who is writing a letter to famous journalists in the country about the racism he faced and what drove him to the drastic him to a unhealthy mental space.

The film is earning positive reviews for its honest storytelling in America. It has already been nominated or screened by nearly 70 film festivals. The United States is in tatters with the ongoing Black Lives Matter protest after the cruel, racist murder of George Floyd. The video shows how minorities continue to neglected by the majority in the country. And surprisingly, the filmmakers have decided to dwell deep into the area of institutional racism, which have been given lesser focus by people around. This is an amazing attempt by the small team for telling a genuine story.

This short film is the story of harassment and discrimination suffered by an Indian software engineer working for an American corporation.
